Smartphone market share exposure by comScore

According to comScore's press release at Jan-2011 shows the market share of smartphone platform has slightly change. The most interesting part was the increasing of Google platform, from 23.5% to 31.2%.
People expect that Apple may growing up huge steps, but Google is a bit ahead and get over RIM.

This class we talk about the function of sign: icon, index, symbol. Some sign has multiple function, for example the toilet sign.

How they indicate to you that this is a toilet sign. As two significant icon of male and female place next to each other, what will you receive from the icons? It's a place that for male and female. How do you know this place is toilet? On the index function that the sign tell us, this is a toilet due to the common sense of our society. We must saw or used any toilet with this sign then we understand when two icon that represent male and female place next to each other that this sign may indicate to a meaning, toilet.

iPad 2 special event on March 2nd

Apple's product becomes more popular in these days, more and more fans focus on every move of there new development and new stuff. As a fan of apple related product I watched the keynote of every new product launch since the Steve Jobs back to Apple Inc. at 1999. Here is the iPad 2 launch event. Enjoy it!

Bauhaus- the modern design starts from here.

Nowadays, people who on field of design all familiar with this school, Bauhaus. Even we study many of the history of Bauhaus, the theories that build by the group influenced most of modern designers. Today's class re-anounced one cofounder teacher of this important studio, Paul Klee. I looked up some of the online sources that related to Paul Klee's studies, his lectures: Paul Klee's notebooks. I'll share my reading experience later when I finished them.

Proposal case sharing

The speaker had more then 30 years in production design industry, he shared many of the innovation case study to us. As the principal of this speech: a product prototyping proposal can be in any form but with 7 main point, which are product function, when, where, who, why, how to do, costs. When processing a new idea you will be ask the agendas that list above. Moreover, timing and the target market life style are need to be combine into considerations.
Regarding to the target group, a research will be a must and analyze are also need for developers.
From the cases experience sharing I found some same issues that o meet before, 1) costs 2) marketing method. Developing tooling and mock up sample in most of the case studies all play the key roll. The  The speaker recommend the innovators should hear the using experience from distributers and end users. They are the best and cheapest way to make the market analyze for you. Latter then is the selling timing and marketing methods. Conclude the speech today, timing, price, product are the key to innovate new product.
